The Field Service Leading Hand **(based in Singleton) **plays a crucial role in helping to ensure hire equipment at the branch is ready, fit and safe for hire. A key focus of the role is providing exceptional customer service to Coates customers, as well as ensuring a high standard of safety. This role will be a split of 75% off tools and 25% on tools. You’ll be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient maintenance, service, overhaul and repair of our extensive range of hire equipment and machinery and assist in the coordination of all Mechanics at our Singleton Branch.

- Lead with a safety-first attitude
- Supervise our field service maintenance team of 4 in addition to subcontractors as required
- Provide technical advice and support to our team and customers
- Manage accurate and detailed asset maintenance and servicing records
- Drive maintenance performance in line with Coates Team25 strategy and business KPI’s
- Establish and maintain quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Possess a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and performance measures

- Mechanically trade qualified with proven experience across a wide variety of equipment
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience
- Strong planning and cost control skills
- Effective time management and attention to detail
- Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
- Proven computer skills
