St Kilda East, Australia Yeshivah - Beth Rivkah Colleges Full time

**Shape the environment that shapes our students.**

Yeshivah-Beth Rivkah Colleges is a leading Jewish day school in Melbourne, providing a rich and nurturing education grounded in Chabad values and a strong commitment to Torah and academic excellence. With multiple campuses serving students from early learning through to VCE, our school is a dynamic and growing environment where tradition and progress go hand in hand. Our buildings, grounds, and physical spaces are central to delivering this mission.

We are seeking a hands-on, proactive, Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and development of our school facilities across multiple campuses. As our Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our campuses are safe, functional, and welcoming - supporting the day-to-day experiences of our students, staff and visitors. Reporting to the Head of Business & Operations, this is an opportunity to lead a capable team, bring your broad trades knowledge and problem-solving skills to the fore, and contribute meaningfully to the life of our school community.

**About the Role**

As Facilities Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of facilities management including maintenance, compliance, contractor oversight, and strategic planning. You’ll supervise a small team of on-the-ground staff and be supported by an administrator who will assist with scheduling, procurement, and compliance documentation. We are looking for someone who is not only an effective manager but also confident in stepping in where needed - someone who can assess issues practically, understands how things work, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage reactive and preventative maintenance across all campuses
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers across a range of trades
- Lead and support the facilities team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations
- Monitor and manage the maintenance budget
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
- Work closely with school leadership to plan and deliver facility improvements
- Assess and troubleshoot issues using your practical experience across general trades

**About You**
- You’re a practical operator with good general knowledge across a broad range of trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general building maintenance)
- Proven experience managing a facilities or maintenance team, ideally in a school, health, or multi-site setting
- Willing to be hands-on when needed - you enjoy working on solutions, not just managing from behind a desk
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
- Ability to oversee projects and work collaboratively with both internal stakeholders and external contractors
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable using digital systems for maintenance scheduling and reporting
- A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children

**Why Join Us?**
- You’ll be part of a values-driven school community where your work has meaningful impact.
- Work in a dynamic multi-campus environment with opportunities to innovate and improve systems at scale.
- This is an ideal role for a practical, solutions-focused leader who enjoys being involved in both the big picture and the small details.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

- Australia (preferred)
