Join mecwacare as Facility Manager at our premium 101-bed Malvern Centre. You'll lead daily operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care, regulatory compliance, and a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff. This role offers the opportunity to foster continuous improvement while supporting a vibrant community with a wide range of lifestyle activities and amenities.
What you bring:
- Current and ongoing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Previous experience as a Facility Manager
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a residential aged care setting in a clinical management role.
- Proven ability to mentor and motivate staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, and a commitment to person centred care principles and continuous quality improvement.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Email, iCare) with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing teams, budgets, resources, and
- operational performance.
- Satisfies (ongoing) the requirements of 'Key Personnel' as defined in Aged Care Act 2024
- Proficient knowledge of Aged Care Quality Review Standards and AN-ACC documentation requirements
- Excellent customer service focus and ability to operate autonomously, responding to needs in a timely and
- systematic manner.
- Current First Aid, CPR and WWCC certifications
- Ongoing commitment to personal and professional development, with the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the aged care industry.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care/Health Services Management, with a Bachelor's in Health
- Management or related field.
- Experience in accreditation, regulatory audits, dementia, palliative care, and project management.
