Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations.
You will be responsible for developing work packages (scope of works) for specific discipline for delivery of 3rd Party Services in relation to operation, maintenance, refurbishment and augmentation of electrical/instrumentation/mechanical/civil assets and management of contractors and field staff within the regions across the operational asset.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the provision of Asset Maintenance works and operations conducted by 3rd party contractors for the region and ensure maintenance is delivery consistently across Seqwater assets
- Assist in the scheduling, development, implementation and monitoring of planned maintenance management processes and contracts to delivery testing and inspections
- Manage and coordinate with the maintenance team reactive and planned maintenance service requests for 3rd party contractor engagement
- Assist, implement and deliver maintenance procedures for works not delivered by the regional maintenance teams across all as built assets
- Develop and assist internal resources to provide maintenance services to manage contracts and contract performance to ensure KPI compliance is met
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets expenditure in line with KPIs, work quality, response time, efficiency and cost of maintenance work to meet KPI compliance
- Participate in tender assessments and evaluations as contracts / SLA’s are set up
- Managing the safety of staff, including contractors. This includes being involved in all facets of safety e.g. inspections, audits
- Observe and comply with all Seqwater Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices, Permit to work and site access policy, Quality Management System Procedures and Environmental Management system procedures and Water quality procedures
Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate Diploma in Engineering, or an appropriate trade qualification is desirable
- Extensive supervision experience is an essential requirement
- Extensive experience managing 3rd party contractors and contracts to ensure best outcomes for Seqwater
- Knowledge and understanding of the scope, function and nature of the mechanical/civil assets used in water treatment and bulk water storage
- Sound systems (MMS) skills and experience
- Extensive experience in the field of maintenance of water assets or similar industry, along with experience in identifying resources necessary to performance maintenance tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, along with the ability to consult with relevant stakeholders - Seqwater employees, contractors, customers and the public
- Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously when required as well as display a willingness to participate positively and constructively in the enhancement of the team environment
- Experience in selection of tender and evaluation processes
- “C” class Queensland Drivers Licence.
