About the Team
The Procurement and Contracts team supports CHQ by sourcing goods and services that deliver optimal commercial outcomes while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy frameworks. The team is led by the Director of Procurement and Contracts and comprises two Principal Procurement and Contracts Officers, three Senior Procurement and Contracts Officers, one Procurement and Contracts Officer, and one Procurement and Contracts Support Officer.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
Leading strategic sourcing initiatives for all categories of spend including specialist equipment, general goods and services, Information Technology Contracting (ICT), building construction and maintenance (BCM) categories.
Planning, specification development, tendering, evaluation, negotiation of contracts including the ability to undertake minor, medium and capital works based on the relevant Australian Standard Contract Conditions and / or Queensland Government approved contract conditions as required in accordance with Queensland Procurement Policy.
Developing and negotiating contracts that are required by CHQ HHS without a procurement process. This may be Memorandum of Understandings (MOU's), Service Level Agreements and other contracts with Non- Government Organisations and other Hospital and Health Services.
