Join a Canberra-based government agency as a Procurement Officer on an advisory basis long term

**Your new company**
Based in a central location in the city, this government agency is offering a position in a new, energetic team that is looking for a senior procurement professional to lead the team and hit the ground running. On the back of the election, this growing team has many projects lined up long term within the de-centralised Procurement Advisory Branch and are looking for those ready to commit themselves for the future

**Your new role**
Procurement is your specialty and you are passionate about it and training others in this area. You’ll enjoy the opportunity to lead your team and advise all branches within the agency on an advisory basis. You’ll get constant guidance and support as needed. Your key duties will be:

- You'll have the ability to advise on many areas including project and contract management
- You have excellent internal and external stakeholder experience
- You’ll have a proven ability to analyse and present information and data with a high degree of accuracy, to facilitate change and business improvement strategies
- You will work to a timeline and be capable of delivering complex advice and services
- You will demonstrate strong communication skills and work harmoniously within a greater team
- You will demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills and an ability utilise raining modules to support the team

**What you'll need to succeed**
As well as being an experienced procurement professional you may also have the following skills:

- A certification or Diploma in Procurement & Contract Management or equivalent is desirable
- Experience working with Modern Slavery is desirable
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to write persuasively but succinctly in plain English
- Those who hold a current APS permanent position are encouraged to apply

As well as the above you must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to hold a baseline security clearance
