**What you’ll be doing**
As a Contract Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by providing comprehensive assistance in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and legal documents. Your keen eye for detail, organisational skills, and understanding of legal principles will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our legal department.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Contract Drafting and Review:
- Collaborate with in-house legal to draft, review, and revise various types of technology consulting contracts, including but not limited to, MSAs, consultancy agreements, SOWs and vendor contracts.
- Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Identify potential risks and propose necessary changes or amendments to minimise legal exposure.
- Contract Management:
- Operate within a contract management system which maintains a centralised database of contracts, tracks key dates, renewals, and amendments.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, communicating with relevant stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Coordinate with various internal stakeholders to facilitate timely contract execution in line with agreed SLAs.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between the legal team and internal departments, external parties, and clients to facilitate the contract negotiation process.
- Communicate complex legal terms and concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-legal staff.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in organising and maintaining the internal contract management system, including contract templates and forms.
- Be an internal champion for the internal contract management system, and assist users in the use and operation of the system.
**Working Conditions**:
- Permanent full-time (5 days) or part-time (3-4 days)
- Office based
- Sydney
**What will make you successful in this role?**
- Certified Paralegal or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of proven experience working as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role, with a focus on contract management.
- Strong understanding of contract law and related legal principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clear
