At Dedes Waterfront Group our philosophy is simple - Impeccable service, great food and exceed guest expectations. We are currently looking for an **Assistant Venue Manager** to join our dedicated senior team across our Watergrill location at the Sydney Rowing Club, Abbotsford.

To be a successful in this exciting position we require the following:

- 2-3 years' experience in a floor-based, hands-on guest experience role across cafe & events including weddings and conferencing
- Good communication skills - both verbal and written
- Excellent eye for detail
- Ability to work both autonomously and as a team, including venue manager
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Conflict management
- Hold a current RSA and clear understanding of related obligations
- A passion for food and beverage
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport (preferred)
- Time management skills
- Experience with staff allocation and rostering
- Excellent personal presentation
- Be a mature, reliable and passionate motivator
- Ability to develop relationships with a wide range of clients and suppliers
- Be highly organised with the ability to think on your feet
- Organising stocktake and ordering weekly provisions from suppliers
- Demonstrate versatility
