**The Role**
Reporting to the GM of Finance, the Group Reporting Manager will be a multi-disciplinary role with responsibility for overseeing Group Financial Reporting. In the first few months of the role, you will have an opportunity to grow the team and expand its influence across the business. Your role will be pivotal to the ongoing and sustainable growth of the business and by providing effective leadership to the team, you will make a key contribution to the uplift of capability across the finance function.
Duties will include;
- Prepare statutory reporting for the Group in Australia and international subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with local and regional tax obligations.
- Month-end financial accounting procedures including complex transactions.
- Recruit, train and educate team members on accounting and audit issues.
- Finance projects - take part in applicable Finance projects involving Finance, other departments, and key stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for regular and high-quality Financial Analysis
- Prepare and oversee the company's global compliance
- Responsibility for end-to-end external reporting
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement key changes***
**Your Profile**
You will have an engaging and inquisitive nature that will lend itself to being able to understand the organisation, the nuances of a complex business and build working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
CA/CPA qualification will be key, as you are a detail orientated Accountant with the ability to communicate your work and findings effectively. By showing the willingness to learn and offer an alternative viewpoint, you will enable the finance team and broader business to improve its effectiveness.
A strong working knowledge of IFRS and GAAP will be essential to success. Previous experience in External Audit is highly regarded although not essential.
