**Executive Assistant**
**Full-Time**
An exciting opportunity exists to support our CEO who believes that people are WALGA’s biggest asset. Your experience in providing high level executive support along with your ability to be practical, strong and effective with stakeholders is what will see you be successful in this role.
You should be able to anticipate potential problems and overcome stumbling blocks before they occur. If you can think on your feet, are comfortable knowing your limits yet are able to make decisions in the best interests of the CEO’s office and you are naturally engaging with good emotional intelligence then we would love to hear from you.
**In this role you will**:
- Be the first point of contact for stakeholders, managing expectations and exercising judgement to prioritise and action requests.
- Provide a high level of executive support to the CEO, President, and Deputy President of the Association including diary management, routine correspondence, management reports, meeting, travel and event coordination, financial and records management.
- Build and develop relationships across a range of stakeholders and their support staff both within and external to the Association, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare, generate, and distribute relevant documents (agenda, reports, briefings, correspondence, etc.), coordinate attendance (staff, presenters, etc.) and confidential minute recording and distribution in consultation with relevant officers.
- Provide strategic coordination and input to whole of Association initiatives.
- Have impeccable organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Be a highly developed communicator,able to communicate information and ideas clearly and articulately, both in oral and written form.
- Be tech savvy, staying up to date with tools and resources that will help you be efficient and be able to assist with troubleshooting.
- Be flexible and resourceful and remain calm under pressure.
- Have experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with competing priorities.
- Have experience providing support to executives including diary and travel management.
- Have the ability to work with mínimal supervision and be prepared to ocassionaly work past a standard day to provide support.
- Demonstrate continuous attention to detail all while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

WALGA is an independent, member-based, not for profit organisation that advocates for Local Government and provides services to support sector excellence.
As the peak industry body, WALGA advocates on behalf of WA’s 139 Local Governments, delivers professional training and advisory services to members across the State and negotiates service agreements for the sector.
We aim to leverage the collective strength and influence of the Local Government sector to benefit the WA community.
WALGA has approximately 100 staff with the majority located in our West Leederville office and organised into key portfolios: Advocacy, Policy, Member Services, Infrastructure and Corporate and Executive Services.
