Overview:

- Timetabling OfficerFull-time, Fixed Term position until February 2027- Salary Level HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working
- About the role

The role uses RMIT’s timetabling system to set up, design, and maintain the timetable, working closely with key stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure effective timetable delivery. Additionally, the officer provides guidance to align course delivery and program structures with successful timetabling outcomes.

The role requires adherence to policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency in all tasks. During key periods, this role involves assisting students with timetable issues, including allocations, seat availability and clashes.

The position will also undertake configuration and monitoring of the student allocation system including reporting and liaison with students and stakeholders to ensure planned and actual enrolment is accommodated.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Demonstrated commitment to client focused service with an ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals, using well developed interpersonal and negotiation skills.- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks, work to conflicting timelines and deadlines under pressure and make informed decisions with limited supervision.-
- Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures, providing clear and consistent advice to clients.- Evidence of the capability to effectively work in teams, to ensure participation within a positive and cooperative team of staff to achieve successful timetable outcomes, continuous improvement objective and excellence in client service.-
- Written and verbal communication skills, with ability to determine requirements, analyse and evaluate, and formulate responses.About the Group
- Property Services has approximately 110 staff and has responsibility for the operation, maintenance, utilisation and enhancement of buildings owned and leased by RMIT University. Property Services oversees construction projects and ensures the provision of physical facilities services. The Group has an operating budget of in excess of $58M and current capital projects are significant. RMIT's built environment involves approximately 131 buildings spread across all of RMIT's campuses and sites. The capital stock of the University is diverse and valued at approximately $2 billion and includes heritage and other classifications.
