**About the team
Driven by the Information Management (IM) Strategy 2021-26 and five-year Roadmap, TMR has established an Information Management (IM) Program to leverage contemporary ICT solutions, optimise IM processes, uplift IM culture, and improve information governance. The transformation will ensure staff have access to the right information at the right time to make informed decisions, achieve efficiencies and seamless service delivery.

The Information, Content and Records Solution (iCARS) Project will replace TMR's primary document and recordkeeping systems, with a modern Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution which includes functionality that will significantly improve the management of records and information generally within TMR.

About the role
The Principal Records Advisor will be an active member of the iCARS Project team and will utilise their advance knowledge and experience of managing documents and records within TMR (including specific knowledge of Document Management System (DMS) and OpenText Content Manager solutions) to achieve the objectives of the project and program.

In the role of Principal Records Advisor you will:

- Engage in team collaboration to achieve project goals in records and information management.
- Ensure project alignment with legislative compliance and government information guidelines, offering advice on issues.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders for information management initiatives.
- Act as a departmental advocate in information management projects, ensuring integrity and performance efficacy.
- Lead in developing project documentation and enhancing staff abilities in content and records management, fostering a positive and safe team culture.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- A criminal history check will be undertaken on the recommended applicant for this role.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Government policies, frameworks and standards relating to records management.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with managing documents and records within an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) such as OpenText Content Manager, Notes/Domino platform etc.

Requirements of the role
- High level oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with particular emphasis on engagement, consultation and negotiation
- Display well developed people and management skills with experience in managing and collaborating with individuals and teams
- Maintain and enhance the Program's reputation and capacity to effectively communicate, consult and engage with our stakeholders whilst providing effective communication and change leadership to the iCARS Project stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are satisfied.
