**About the role**
The HR Advisor role develops and leads the Shared Services HR, Organisational Management (OM) team to deliver excellent customer service and specialist support, facilitated by strong customer relationships and working collaboratively with team members to promote consistent, high-quality service delivery.
This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and draws upon previous experience and specialist knowledge to effectively resolve internal and external customer enquiries in a timely and professional way.
The team maintains structure, position and employee data in SAP to align with legacy systems to support workflow and access for staff in schools and corporate locations. Team responsibilities include undertaking SAP and legacy system maintenance to reflect business needs, provisioning of contingent labour employees into SAP, and providing expert guidance and support for our customers to resolve issues related to organisational change, workflow, roles or access.
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Human Resource Management, Organisational Psychology or a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated successful experience in stakeholder/customer engagement in a Shared Services environment
- Effective execution of the day-to-day activities of the HR function, following directions and consulting with the supervisor where required
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
- SAP skills advantageous
