Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role will support a broad range of generalist human resource functions, including learning & development, performance management, Workplace Health & Safety with a focus on recruitment and onboarding.
The People & Culture Advisor is responsible for providing advice, guidance and driving projects to implement strategic and operational initiatives.

Key responsibilities*
- Attract applicants using a variety of traditional and contemporary resourcing platforms
- Work closely with managers and the rostering officer to proactively plan recruitment understanding the requirements of the business and plan activity accordingly.
- Welcome and induct new employees to ensure they understand their role and how they contribute to the Club’s mission, vision and purpose and provide them with the necessary information to help them assimilate into their new role.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, federal and state and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
- Continuous process improvement to ensure an efficient way of working.
- Contribute to HR projects in line with P&C strategy.
- Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.

**What makes you perfect for the role?**
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist providing industrial relations advice and experience in the recruitment space.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload whilst working on a variety of tasks across the broad spectrum of Human Resources.
- Experience in working with integrated Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS implementation experience would be advantageous)
- Knowledge and understanding of WHS legislation and standards with a good understanding of employee wellbeing practices
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills to generate positive outcomes and ability to communicate sensitively.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter whilst also able to work within a team environment
- Strong MS Office skills
