**About the role**
The Policy Officer plans and coordinates the implementation of projects relating to teacher accreditation policies for the School and Teaching Standards Division, and to support Agency and/or Government initiatives and commitments.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Contribute to the policy development and implementation process through planning and communications
- Provide a range of project management, technology and support services for the School and Teaching Standards Division Work Program
- Prepare discussion papers, briefs and submissions, to contribute to the development and delivery of policy initiatives
- Prepare and review policy advice to ensure alignment with policy directions
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committee meetings, and stakeholder consultations to support engagement as well as policy development and implementation.
You are well versed in policy writing with experience in drafting briefing notes. You have a keen awareness and grasp of technology and the important role it plays in your ability to do your role effectively.
In addition to being experienced in policy development, you have experience in providing secretarial support including scheduling of meetings and minute taking. You have demonstrated experience in providing high level secretariat support with the ability to anticipate events in work programs.
