Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced Policy Officer.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Research, analyse and develop sound policy submissions and advice to enable informed decision making on road safety matters and prepare information for Ministerial, Cabinet or Departmental requests for information. Proactively identify and analyse policy options and emerging issues related to the core business and objectives of company.
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of discussion papers, briefs and project plans to contribute to the development and delivery of policy initiatives
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committee meetings, and stakeholder consultations to support engagement as well as policy development and implementation
- Undertake research and collate information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to the achievement of policy outcome.
- Work in close collaboration with all staff of the Centre for Safety and other managers and operating entities to contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and decision making.
- Develop a safety culture and ensure compliance with the System Requirement, Safety Responsibilities, Authorities and Accountabilities within the Safety Management System.
- Demonstrate the five ways of leadingbehaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Performing a range of policy development activities, given competing demands and priorities, and the need to adapt and assimilate information quickly to ensure policy outcomes are achieved.
- Maintaining familiarity with the extensive range of research, policy and Government initiatives impacting on company
