**Your New Career**
The Team Leader role provides leadership and direction on a day-to-day basis to the Torquay team responsible for civil maintenance activities, ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources whilst maintaining a safe workplace. This role is based at our depot in Torquay and reports directly to the Coordinator - Civil Operations.

**What you will bring to the role**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual who has demonstrated supervisory skills, especially in the logistics and organisation of both the Civil and the Construction works crews, and in achieving cooperation and motivation of employees under their supervision.

You will have a degree/diploma in Civil Maintenance, demonstrated relevant work skills and/or 5+ years’ experience in a similar role along with basic training in OH&S and a current driver’s licence.

**Mandatory Requirements (Skills & Experience)**
- Several years’ experience in a civil works area of local government or equivalent.
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Construction or equivalent or 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Basic training in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Available for emergency response and participation in an ‘on-call’ roster.
- Current Victorian driver’s licence.
- A current WWCC.
- Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council). A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
