**What are we looking for?**
**Responsibilities**:
**Daily Operations Support**: Work closely with the Centre Director to manage day-to-day operations, stepping in to cover the Director’s responsibilities as needed.
**Leadership and Team Support**: Provide guidance and support to educators and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff members.
**Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure the centre complies with all relevant regulations, licensing requirements, safety standards and program documentations.
**Staff Recruitment and Training**: Support the Director in hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure a high standard of care and professionalism.
**Family and Community Engagement**: Build strong relationships with families and the community by maintaining open, positive, and collaborative communication.
**Administrative Management**: Oversee key administrative tasks, including enrolment, tours, scheduling rosters and breaks, social media posting, writing reports, inclusion support, policy development, and compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS).
**Quality Improvement Initiatives**: Encourage and support teams in understanding and adhering to centre policies and procedures, contributing to continuous quality improvement.
**Effective Communication**: Serve as the primary contact for parents, children, and visitors. Handle inquiries, scheduling tours, and communications with warmth and professionalism.
**Records and Billing Management**: Organise and maintain records for attendance, health, emergency contacts, and assist with billing, invoicing, and payment collection.
**Event Coordination**: Help organise centre events and activities, providing administrative support to ensure successful execution.
**Flexible Scheduling**: Be available for part-time or full-time hours on rotating shifts between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm to accommodate centre needs.
**Professional Development**: Display initiative, flexibility, and a proactive attitude, taking feedback to continuously improve and grow in the role.
**Qualification, experience, and knowledge requirements for role**:
- Diploma of early childhood education with minimum of 3 years' experience as a room leader
- Child Protection training to be completed every 12 months
- Food Handling Introduction Course to be completed every 12 months
- Current First Aid qualification including Anaphylaxis and Asthma to be completed every 3 years
- CPR updates to be completed annually
- To be aware of and understand the requirements of the National Quality Standards
- To adhere to grooming and uniform expectations at all times you are representing the centre
- To have highly developed time management and organisational skills
- To have excellent communication skills
- Current, in date, employee Working with Children Check Card or VIT registration
- To be knowledgeable in centre procedures
- To maintain the confidentiality of the service and individuals
