**Job Description**:
The GUMURRII Student Success Unit is the heart of Griffith’s Indigenous student community, with a dedicated student hub located on each campus. GUMURRII staff are committed to providing high quality support for current and prospective students in a safe and culturally appropriate learning environment.

Within the GUMURRII Student Success Unit the Advancement and Employability Coordinator leads the development of strategically driven and evidence-based initiatives that enhance the advancement and employability of First Peoples students across the University.

Key responsibilities include:

- Identify initiatives and make recommendations to achieve operational objectives linked to the GUMURRI Strategic Plan
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and industry partners as prospective sponsors and employers
- Engage with Community and Industry to provide advice on matters in relation to quality outcomes for Indigenous students
- Identify opportunities for cadetships, internships, and scholarships
- Promote employment experience opportunities to the First Peoples student cohort across a range of channels
- Monitor the external employment, training, and development environments to leverage new and improved opportunities
- Contribute to a range of strategies and plans that support successful student outcomes for First Peoples students

**What we can offer**
This is a full-time continuing position based at either the Gold Coast or Nathan campus.
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 7 range $89,384 - $96,838 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $104,580 - $113,301 per annum.

It is essential that the person who holds this position be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement, under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, that applicants are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Additionally you will demonstrate:

- Proven success in delivering high-quality, strategically‑driven and evidence‑based initiatives in complex environments
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to sensitively communicate complex issues and matters with First Peoples stakeholders
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of a wide range of IT systems and software, able to produce high-quality data responses to existing needs and/or emerging trends for optimum student outcomes.
