We are looking for a **Principal Coast and River Planner** to take charge of strategic planning and assessment in one of the most crucial and scenic regions in Australia. This is a pivotal role in preserving the natural beauty and resilience of South Australia’s coastlines and River Murray.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Lead a dedicated team addressing the most pressing coastal and river planning challenges across South Australia.
- Oversee assessments of major developments and offer expert advice on coastal protection and sustainable land use.
- Exercise delegated authority on behalf of the Coast Protection Board, ensuring responsible development that respects our environment.
- Shape the future of coastal and river planning by contributing to system improvements and policy development.

**Essential Qualifications**:
Tertiary qualification in urban and regional planning.

**Special Conditions**:

- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- Current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to drive is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work alone and be self-reliant.
- May require some intra/interstate travel.

**Remuneration**:
PO4, $110,696 min - $120,470 max p.a.
