We are seeking a skilled and strategic Team Leader - Coastal Planning and Development to lead a dedicated team of planners ensuring that South Australia’s planning system addresses critical coastal and River Murray issues.

- Represent the Coast Protection Board in coastal development decisions
- Drive improvements across planning systems and coastal policy, responding to climate change and sea level rise

**Essential Criteria (including qualifications)**:
- A recognised degree or recognised post graduate qualification in the discipline of Planning specialising in one of the following areas: Urban Regional Planning; Urban Design; Environmental Planning; Transport Planning, or such qualifications in urban and regional planning, or geography or environmental management or a related discipline to satisfy requirements for prescribed qualifications for the purpose of Section 101 of the _Development Act 1993_.
- Corporate Membership of the Planning Institute of Australia or recognition as a Certified Practising Planner by the Planning Institute of Australia is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the professional discipline of planning or natural resource management.
- Specialist professional knowledge of the implications of coastal processes and ecological processes for coastal management and planning in South Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in urban and regional planning including developing and implementing planning policy.
**Special Conditions**:
- May be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties.
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia without restrictions.
- Prior to being employed, the successful applicant will be required to obtain a National Police Check.
- Inter and intrastate and remote area travel is required, including travel in light aircraft.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel, occasional overnight absences, and work outside of the normal hours of work.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is desirable.
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain is essential.
**Remuneration**:
PO4, $110,696 min - $120,470 max p.a.
