**The Opportunity**
The Principal Planner - Transport Strategy will play a key role in leading and managing strategic transport planning activities for South Australia. You will drive the development of the South Australian Transport Strategy, focusing on multi-modal transport systems, from cycling to freight, and aligning with state priorities. Your responsibilities include managing high-level transport studies, leading national planning reforms, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring that planning outputs are fit-for-purpose. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external service providers to ensure quality delivery, while mentoring and leading a positive team environment.

**Qualifications/Experience**
For appointment to the role at the PO4 classification level, a degree in Engineering providing eligibility for membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia is required, or a Tertiary qualification in Planning.
For appointment to the role at the ASO7 classification level, tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, or Planning is essential.
**Special Conditions**
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
**Remuneration**
PO4 - $110,696 to $120,470 pa + superannuation
ASO7 - $108,109 to $116,864 pa + superannuation
