At Minda, people are at the heart of everything we do, and since 1898 we’ve been providing industry-leading support to South Australians living with disability. Our community volunteers are involved in fundraising and event activities that help support people with a cognitive disability by raising vital funds. **Volunteering** is a great way to meet new people, it strengthens your ties to the **community** and broadens your **support** network, exposing you to people with common interests, neighborhood resources, and fun and fulfilling activities.

People choose to **volunteer** for a variety of **reasons**. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others, it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge.

There are varied community volunteer roles which depend on the activity or event, with some examples including gift wrapping, event set-up, pack up, hospitality service and coin collection.
