**About Them**
This iconic Australian business is seeking an experienced Environmental Coordinator to provide sound support and advice for the business units across QLD. Reporting into the Environment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that environmental compliance and risk matters are managed effectively throughout the region. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing sustainable solutions across a range of services and resources, including waste management.

**About the position**
This role will be responsible for working with the business to implement national and local environmental program of works and risk management strategies, with protecting regulatory and social license to operate at its core. In addition, you will be responsible for:

- Implementing strategies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Facilitate reporting, investigation and management of environmental incidents
- Assist with the development, planning and preparation of Environmental action plans for the various sites business units
- The maintenance of the ongoing license to operate and development of a high performing culture
- Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement improvement initiatives and technical programs of work
- Engage with the environmental regulators to ensure strong working relationships

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in blue collar, high risk industry environments
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Excellent written communication and report writing skills
- Strong time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
