We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join the HSSE team in Regionerate Rail Project Based at our Brisbane office, in this role you will effectively be responsible for the implementation and development of the Project’s Environment Management System. In addition, you will ensure the project delivers a sustainable and positive environmental impact on the region we are working while meeting operating standards, statutory requirements and client specifications.

Your focus will include:
- Continue development of environmental systems in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard- Preparation of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and procedures for the project- Lead environmental management for the project including environmental audits and inspections- Provide specialist advice, support and coordination to the project delivery team including advice on environmental incident reporting and investigations- Identify, assess and resolve environmental issues in compliance with environmental legislation- Train and raise awareness of environmental issues and responsibilities amongst stakeholders

What you will bring to the team:
- Degree qualified in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or similar- At least 10+ years relevant environmental lead experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Environmental manager with the civil infrastructure- Experience managing a small team and establishing effective and efficient procedures for monitoring, data collection and reporting.- Solutions focused approach addressing emerging risks and challenges- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a co-operative manner across all levels- Flexibility to travel to the project site in and as required for the role and project- Rail Industry experience is desired
