We are currently seeking Personal Care Assistants to join our team. We are proud of the team orientation in our work culture and innovative management practices with a focus on quality resident care.
**Requirements**:
- Certificate III in Aged Care and/ or equivalent.
- Demonstrates genuine desire to care for frail aged people.
- Able to effectively communicate in written and oral English.
- Current flu and Covid vaccination record.
- Current Criminal Record Check.
**Responsibilities/ Duty Description**:
- Deliver care and support in accordance with residents’ care needs.
- Read and follow each residents individual care plans or instruction and guidance from the Registered Nurse.
- Recognize and report changes in residents’ health care status.
- Administer medication to residents, safely and correctly in accordance with Policy & Procedure.
- Assists residents to maintain the optimum level of health and well being
- Encourage residents to maximize their independence.
- Encourage and enable residents to participate in a wide variety of life’s experiences.
- Respect the rights of each resident to make informed choices about their health care requirements and residency.
- Assist in ensuring that the environment is safe for staff and residents and is as home-like for residents as possible.
- Identify and report potential or actual hazards to the Registered Nurse.
