**About The Role**

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-driven individual to join the Sandstrom team as a Therapy Assistant on a Permanent
- Part time basis available on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

**Location**

Aegis Sandstrom is superbly located amidst the stately federation homes of inner city Mt Lawley from which you can appreciate classic views of the city skyline. The Residence includes a host of well-appointed amenities including a beauty salon, hydro spa, library, alfresco courtyard dining, quality furnishings and lounge areas where residents and guests can mingle in a relaxed and social atmosphere. This location ensures that a large variety of shopping and service options including restaurants and shopping. Many 'day trip' venues are located close-by, providing a wonderful variety of choice for that special outing.

As an integral part of the team, you will:

- Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.
- Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs.
- Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed.
- Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
- Accompany Resident groups on outings.

**Requirements of the role**
- Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
- A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience. (Desirable but not essential).
- Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Have empathy with the elderly.
- Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
