**Metro Assist (formerly Metro Migrant Resource Centre) is seeking a motivated and experienced
Youth Worker to join our Settlement & Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program which is
committed to making a positive impact in people’s lives. The position is part time, 21 hours per
week.

We provide refugee settlement support, employment services, family services, emergency relief,
tenancy advice, financial counselling and undertake community development projects and
**About the role**
If you are looking for a unique opportunity to support newly arrived migrants and refugees to
become self-reliant and participate fully in the broader community, then this role is for you.
The Youth Worker will work in collaboration with team members in the Settlement and Employment
Team to implement activities that target eligible SETS target groups across the Canterbury
- Bankstown and Inner West areas, with **young people as a key focus**.
This will be achieved through casework, referrals, outreach and group activities and education
sessions. A range of youth capacity building activities will be facilitated by working with a range of
stakeholders and young people themselves to develop their skills and knowledge.
