Metro Assist, a not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a motivated ICT & Data Security Officer with a

proven track record and capability in providing high-quality ICT and data security support. If you

**About the role**

The position plays a vital role in the effective operational management of Metro Assist and is

responsible for ICT system management and day-to-day ICT help desk support to staff in conjunction

with an external ICT contractor. Metro Assist’s service is managed by an external company. The

position acts as an internal expert to guide and advise Metro Assist on the management and

implementation of ICT projects and changes ensuring that the organisation has fit-for-purpose IT

systems and services. The role is also responsible for the maintenance of ISO 27001:2013

information security system accreditation under the supervision of an external Data Security

consultant.

**Essential Selection Criteria**
- Relevant qualifications in ICT, and or Cyber Security
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator in a mid-sized company of 50

to 100 staff or in an IT service company providing services to mid-level businesses
- Ability to provide quality IT help desk support independently in a timely and efficient manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical

audiences
- Technical knowledge, skills, and understanding of Cyber Security Framework
- Managing and improving Information Security Program in line with ISO 27001 requirements
- Experience in ICT system rollouts and project management within a mid-size business

environment
- Knowledge and experience supporting MS Windows, Office 365, SharePoint Online, and MS

Teams
- Experience in vendor management and knowledge of ITIL practices and processes relevant to the

role
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with an ability to lead by

example
- Possession of current full driver’s license and access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance

- A background or prior work experience in a not-for-profit sector
