**The primary objectives of the position are to**:

- undertake data management and system administration services within Parliamentary Service's HRIS (Aurion);
- perform day to day Aurion system an user-support activities;
- undertake end of pay cycle and end of period activities to ensure the effective operation of payroll activities;
- provide HR data and analytics services including data capture, extraction, analysis and reporting;
- provide support to system users and encourage system utilisation; and
- support the implementation of Timekeeper time-sheeting solution (and other system enhancements) as required.

**Duties and responsibilities of the position include**:

- Support the operation of the Aurion system, system contingency planning and manage the technical environment in which Aurion is available.
- Implement system configuration changes to ensure compliance with the various requirements under the direction of the Manager, Payroll Services, Manager, People and Culture and/or HR Systems Administrator.
- Activate and reconcile the payrun for Parliamentary Service and its clients and produce the relevant electronic pay files, including superannuation and various deductions, for approval of the Manager, Payroll Services prior to disbursement.
- Support ATO single touch payroll reporting (STP) requirements and associated end of year processes.
- Assist with and contribute to the identification and implementation of approved digital solutions to improve existing business processes within Payroll Services and the Parliamentary Service.
- Contribute to and support the Parliamentary Service digitisation strategy and related projects such as the roll out of the Timekeeper module; assist with customer/user engagement as required.
- Contribute to pay cycle activities and establish deadlines to ensure timeframes are understood and adhered to.
- Process 'Pre-run' payroll reports for sign off and approval by the Manager, Payroll Services prior to the running of pays.
- Deliver appropriate system training, coaching and support to staff and leaders to enable them to effectively utilise the Aurion system and modules in line with organisational directives and business needs.
- Act as an advocate/change agent for utilisation of system capability and self-service functions.
- Prepare and maintain the production and distribution of standard, customised and ad hoc human resource/payroll reports from the Aurion system.
- Capture, extract and analyse data and produce reports for a variety of HR and corporate reporting purposes. Identify and analyse trends within data. Trends may relate to turnover, absenteeism, gender related statistical information within the Parliamentary Service.
