Byron Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic Project Support Officer. The position plays a key role in providing a high level of administrative and project support to a multidisciplinary team and manages multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
Some specific tasks include:
- Providing high level project and administrative support across the Environmental & Economic Planning team's projects and services, including the use of the MS Office suite of software, Survey Monkey, Your Say and other web-based platforms.
- Producing high quality original and standard documentation (such as letters, memos, reports, templates, agendas/minutes, public exhibition material including advertising flyers and notices, fact sheets and FAQs, electronic newsletters and web updates) for the team.
- Reviewing project and technical information to create communications for the public in plain English.
- Providing accurately researched information as required.
- Maintaining Council and project registers and databases.
This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2025 due to the secondment of the incumbent to another position within Council. Additionally, other possible staff movements within the department may result in this recruitment campaign being used to fill subsequent fixed term Project Support Officer positions.

**Location**:
This position is based at Mullumbimby, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
