Byron Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic Governance Support Officer. The position plays a key role in providing efficient and effective administrative and project support to the Corporate Services team, including Councillors and meetings of Council.

Some specific tasks include:

- Producing high quality documentation and correspondence, including effective records management.
- Providing high level administrative assistance in the production and collation of reports and documents relating to the corporate services function.
- Coordinating, compiling, and distributing agendas and minutes for meetings of Council and relevant committees.
- Coordinating, attending, and providing support for meetings of Council, and relevant committees, including minute taking.
- Providing customer-focused service and support to Councillors, including conferences arrangements, provision of facilities and payments, annual training and development program, and maintenance of Councillors’ calendar.

**Location**:
This position is based at Mullumbimby, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
