As Stratton’s Payroll Officer you will be reporting directly to the CFO and working in a close-knit Accounts team of 5. The business-critical role will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for Stratton employees, including both weekly salaries, monthly incentive payments and leave entitlements on a 12 month contract. In this role you will ensure every employee’s remuneration is paid accurately and on time whilst also being responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records, reporting and providing payroll information to management. Other responsibilities include:

- Preparing and processing weekly salaries, calculating and processing monthly sale incentive payments
- Preparing and payment of all state/federal tax obligations, including PAYG and payroll tax
- Processing new employment contracts and terminations in the payroll system
- Assisting employees and management with any payroll enquiries, preparing weekly payroll report for P&C team
- Ensuring all compliance with relevant awards, staying up to date with legislation
- Ad hoc accounts and payroll duties, supporting the broader Finance Team - there is no “I” in Team

**To be successful in the role, you will have**:

- Prior Experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role, formal payroll qualification desirable
- Ability to interpret industry awards, Banking, Finance & Insurance Award knowledge will be highly regarded
- Experience in formulating and processing incentive payments & bonuses
- Working knowledge of Sage Micropay desirable
- Capability to self-motivate and work autonomously - we don’t micromanage
