**Job Description** About the Role**

**What we can offer**:

- This is a **permanent, full-time position**—not a casual or sessional contract. With six months’ probation leading to ongoing employment, it offers the **stability** to support long-term goals like home ownership or career planning.
- It’s an ideal role for **new academics/academics** or **pracademics** seeking to transition from sessional teaching or professional practice into a stable academic pathway with long-term career prospects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and conduct lectures and tutorials.
- Encourage the engagement of students in their studies.

**About you**

The successful applicant will ideally have:

- A **Social Work** (or related field) qualification, **Masters level minimum.**:

- Demonstrated teaching ability in relevant fields at a tertiary level.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise, negotiate and collaborate with both internal and external parties.
- Applicants need to have or be eligible for AASW membership.
