**The Opportunity**

The purpose of the Finance Risk Assurance Partner role is to promote the Financial Control and Governance and Risk Management Frameworks within Finance across the Asia Pacific Market Unit.

This is a specialist role responsible for delivering a robust risk assurance plan that meets the needs of the business as well as ensuring appropriate coverage across financial risk categories.

**This is a permanent full-time position, based in the Melbourne office. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home)**

**How will I help?**

**You will add value by**:

- Working with the Manager, Finance Risk and Governance to implement an effective risk-based assurance plan (Annual Plan) for the whole of APAC Finance, which supports the needs of the business on an ongoing basis.
- Developing the Annual Plan, partnering with the Manager, Finance Risk and Governance, to engage with relevant stakeholders and understand the key risks and obligations; and ensure agreement on the Annual Plan
- Executing assurance activities in accordance with the Annual plan by designing testing plans and conducting testing to assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls and processes.
- Partnering with all areas within Finance on all aspects of financial control and risk management, including but not limited to providing education in and continued monitoring of the implementation of key elements of the Financial Control and Governance and Risk Management Frameworks such as Incident Reporting, Regulatory Change Management and identification and monitoring of legal, regulatory, contractual and policy obligations.
- Overseeing remediation of findings including incidents, ensuring prompt, effective and sustainable solutions and appropriate documentation of decisions.

**What do I need?**
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business and hold a CA or CPA qualification.
- You have a strong understanding of accounting standards and auditing, whilst also having a strong understanding of governance, risk and quality assurance processes.
- A proven track record of 3 years’ experience or more in financial accounting, external auditing or accounting advisory is preferable.
