**The opportunity**

The Risk Assurance Manager is a critical role; contributing to the delivery of successful business outcomes within Bupa to ensure appropriate business practices are being met.

Conducting independent assurance activities to confirm quality assurance standards ensuring that the activities of the Group are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory obligations, contractual requirements and internal policies and procedures.

A key requirement is the ability to build a strong and trusting rapport with business contacts, facilitating two-way interaction in relation to risk and compliance matters.

This is a permanent full-time position, based in Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane office. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home)

**How will I help?**

**You will add value by**:

- Working with the Director of Assurance (Process Governance, Risk & Control) to identify risks for individual reviews as part of an approved Risk Assurance Plan (or for adhoc reviews as required).
- Working with the Risk Business Partners and business stakeholders to identify key controls in place to manage the identified risks and, in conjunction with the Director of Assurance (Process Governance, Risk & Control) develop testing/monitoring approaches for these controls.
- Conducting process walkthroughs and sample testing to ensure risks are being appropriately managed by the business and in accordance with applicable regulatory obligations, contractual obligations and internal policies and procedures.
- Formulating findings based on assurance activities for controls and, with the support of the Director of Assurance (Process Governance, Risk & Control), work with the business to agree appropriate improvement actions.
- Preparing reports which describe risks, findings and agreed actions and work with the Director of Assurance (Process Governance, Risk & Control) to finalise these reports for distribution to the business.

**What do I need?**
- You are a master with a proven 5-year experience history in assurance within a professional services, internal audit, or other assurance related roles.
- You are a Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), or Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or equivalent.
- Being a graduate in business-related discipline, or industry-related qualification of appropriately accredited professional institution (PS146, DFP, CFP, CCP or ACI Associate) is considered an asset.
