**About the role**

Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

- oversee the daily operations at The Hotel
- grow the overall profitability of the Hotel
- ensure all expenditure is in line with the budgets set for the Hotel
- be responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the operation of the Hotel, including overseeing front of house reception staff, room service and housekeeping
- be responsible for the maintenance of the hotel, overseeing and managing the maintenance team including the security of the Hotel
- provide monthly reporting on business performance
- develop and maintain an ongoing sales and marketing plan
- maintain a healthy and safe workplace for all staff and third-party contractors
- rostering staff members
- plan and execute conferences and events in our boardrooms and Penthouse
- equip the team with information of tourism attractions within Melbourne, and give them the tools to book on behalf of our guests
- monitor the performance of all suppliers, ensuring quality of goods and services are met in accordance with the relevant supplier contracts
- ensure that strategies and practices are in place to facilitate the efficient and effective staffing of the Hotel to achieve financial and service quality targets
- be across any licensing and other laws required
- be compliant with occupational health and safety regulations

The successful applicant will have:

- At least 3 years previous experience in hotel operational roles
- Demonstrated passion and skill with team leadership and mentoring
- Experience within strata title complexes and managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Financially astute and can adapt to the everchanging landscape of the hotel environment
- Exceptional skills in delivering fantastic customer experiences
- High attention to detail and can find and implement solutions with confidence
- Sound sales & marketing and revenue & distribution knowledge
- Previous experience with hotel property management systems - experience with RMS will be advantageous
- Ability to create a positive work environment that engages the team and maximises productivity and experiences

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
