**The Role**
Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Branch, Active Electronically Scanned Array Systems Program Office (AESA SPO) is seeking a talented and experienced security professional to perform the role of an APS 6 Security Advisor. The successful applicant will be accountable under broad direction to perform, contribute, and achieve very complex protective security work within an integrated workforce.
This position will be accountable to the EWIS AESA SPO Director for all matters relating to security, including establishing a positive security culture and environment. The Security Advisor will be responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes. The Security Advisor will develop and maintain close links with a range of other Defence and Defence Industry security partners.
The Security Advisor will also be responsible for Special Access Program (SAP) security administration, management, and operations in the EWIS AESA SPO. They will undertake activities including compliance inspections, development of local policies, incident reporting, visitor access, security inductions and training for approved personnel.
**About our Team**
EWIS Branch, in JSD acquires, sustains and integrates EWIS capabilities into a wide variety of air, land and sea based platforms and systems.
The AESA SPO, part of the EWIS Branch, primarily manages the international program (via a government to government arrangement) for acquiring and sustaining AESA technology and manages engagements between the Department of Defence and CEA Technologies - a supplier of world-leading radar technologies that are designed, developed and manufactured in Australia.
