**Your New Role**

Reporting to the Employee Engagement Manager, the Employee Engagement Lead is responsible for driving internal communications and engagement at Development Victoria.

The role involves partnering with internal stakeholders to enhance employee engagement, connect team members to strategic priorities, and foster continued understanding of organisational values and purpose through effectively executed communications strategies.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the Employee Engagement function during an exciting time, including the launch of Development Victoria’s Employee Value Proposition. If you’re passionate about turning strategies into stories and employees into engaged advocates, this is your stage.

**Core Accountabilities**
- Recommend and lead internal communications strategies and tactics to ensure employees understand and support key business goals.
- Develop and execute communications strategies that elevate Development Victoria’s employer brand, showcasing our culture, values, and position us as an employer of choice.
- Build strong internal relationships to foster trust and encourage proactive communications for initiatives, including issues management where required.
- Bring new ideas, innovative internal communications tactics and creative campaigns to shape and evolve the internal communications landscape.
- Proactively manage day-to-day channel operations and content creation to increase engagement.
- Craft compelling copy and manage internal communications campaigns, including CEO communications, Executive and Senior Leadership messaging, and other employee engagement initiatives.
- Support event management including planning and leading the organisational-wide monthly team meeting (event coordination and content management).
- Manage monthly reporting and pulse checks to track effectiveness of communications and campaigns, measuring resonance and value and seeking continuous improvement.
- Keep the Manager, Employee Engagement and internal stakeholders informed of relevant issues and opportunities.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**About You**
- Bachelor or postgraduate degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, or relevant discipline.
- 7+ years in communications, journalism, public relations or corporate affairs roles.
- Significant experience managing corporate and internal communications independently.
- Exceptional communication and copywriting skills across various mediums.
- In-depth understanding of communications channel strategies and audience segmentation.
- Understanding of State or local government priorities and processes (desirable).
- Understanding of change communication best practice and delivery (desirable).
