Duties and responsibilities we'll trust you with

- Support the delivery of quality Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community connections and events while meeting SLQ's service commitments
- Participating in a high performing kuril dhagun team in the development of sustainable, creative and engaging programs and events. This includes delivering professional and responsive services to the community, meeting key service objectives and organisational priorities
- Supporting the team in the sourcing of travel arrangement that are appropriate, timely and cost effective. This includes locating and recommending airfares, accommodation and/or other methods of transport as well as supporting staff in travel acquittals/claims and allowance processes
- Supporting the delivery of community programs and events including the booking, coordination and expenses approval for catering, the locating of venues and/or spaces outside kuril dhagun and assisting the team in the development of exhibitions, displays and coordination of community meetings
- Coordinating and ensuring records management is undertaken for the team and that key system and platforms are maintained. These includes refreshing information on the website and updating the Client Relationship Management database
- Participating in internal committees, projects and working groups while collaborating with other teams across SLQ. This includes providing high quality community and internal stakeholder engagement
- Contributing to the team annual program schedule and participating in the branch planning process to ensure that relevant, appropriate, and meaningful programs are delivered to public library communities
- Contributing to business improvement activities ensuring relevant policies, procedures and guidelines meet best practice and SLQ requirements. This includes a continuous improvement cycle for feedback, raising concerns and generating solutions
- Working effectively with colleagues and peers while contributing to a productive and positive work environment in times of change and uncertainty. This includes being a proactive member of the kuril dhagun team and providing supervision, guidance and/or mentoring to subordinate staff, casual employees and/or volunteers ensuing they are included, supported and well-informed
- Participating in, contributing to and/or managing financial, human resource and/or ICT responsibilities as per the organisational delegations.

It is a genuine occupational requirement for this role to be filled by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person as per Section 7 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 for the purpose outlined in Section 25 of the Act.
