Duties and responsibilities we'll trust you with
- Participating in one of the high performing Public Libraries & Engagement teams in the delivery of programs and events while ensuring professional and responsive services to clients. This includes undertaking day to day work, achieving key service objectives and meeting organisational priorities
- Supporting the delivery of high quality programs and services onsite andonline, to public libraries or Indigenous Knowledge Centres
- Assisting the team in the development of programs including the drafting of bookings, coordination and expenses approval for catering and the locating of venues and/or spaces
- Coordinating meetings and workshops. This may include sourcing of travel arrangements that are appropriate, timely and cost effective and recommending accommodation and/or other methods of transport as well as supporting staff in acquittals/claims and allowance processes
- Coordinating and ensuring records management is undertaken and that key system and platforms are maintained such as updating relevant databases and assisting with onsite records creation
- Undertaking Personal Performance Planning, and providing a point of escalation for issues to ensure the smooth running of services
- Participating in internal committees, projects and working groups while collaborating with other teams across State Library. This includes providing high quality internal stakeholder engagement
- Contributing to business improvement activities ensuring relevant policies, procedures and guidelines meet best practice and State Library requirements. This includes a continuous improvement cycle for feedback, raising concerns and generating solutions
- Working effectively with colleagues and peers while contributing to a productive and positive work environment in times of change and uncertainty. This includes being a proactive member of the Public Libraries & Engagement Portfolio
- Participating in, contributing to and/or managing financial, human resource and/or ICT responsibilities as per the organisational delegations
- Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by modelling conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful and ethical
