**The Role**

As the Insights & Data Analyst, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Operations Group.

The role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of operational data such as train punctuality and reliability, rail and coach patronage or customer feedback/research through collation, preparation, monitoring, and analysis.

Additionally, you will create insightful presentations for leaders across various divisions and management levels.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- ** Develop and Maintain Reporting Solutions**: Enhance and develop reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and design, develop, and maintain data repositories and visualisation platforms.
- ** Data Management and Analysis**: Review data sources, establish consistent measures, perform data cleansing and remediation activities, and analyse performance changes to assess their impact on reliability and customer experience.
- ** Stakeholder Engagement**: Respond to ad-hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister's Office and the Department of Transport & Planning, and provide key insights through data visualization tools.
- ** Process Automation**:Automate and document repetitive tasks.
- ** Operational Improvement**: Assist in establishing effective systems to reduce operational impacts, participate in daily communication forums to resolve network delays, and ensure improvement initiatives align with V/Line’s business and strategic operations plans.
- ** Support Business Improvement**: Participate in and support V/Line’s ongoing business improvement processes.

**About you**

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to maintain the integrity and accuracy of our operational data and build strong stakeholder relationships to support and collaborate with different departments across the business.
- Effective relationship management and problem-solving ability with senior business stakeholders
- Advanced Power BI and Data visualisation skills.
- Excellent communication, consultative and problem-solving skills
- A growth mindset of continuous learning and improvement, ability to adapt to change
- Strong SQL and DAX. Python and Microsoft Fabric knowledge would be a plus.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to compile and complete reports
- Relevant experience of business analysis, data management, statistical modelling
- Experience in facilitating presentations
