PMO Manager - Core Banking

As a PMO Manager within ING's Core Banking Transformation Program, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of key milestones modernising our core banking systems.

Reporting directly to the Program Director - Core Banking, this PMO Manager position is a key, hands on multi-skilled role responsible for all PMO aspects under the Core Banking Modernisation program for ING Australia. As a result, we are looking for a forward-thinking approach to program governance, reporting, pipeline management, prioritisation, benefits mapping, quality assurance, risk reporting and program performance.

This role is critical in shaping the future of banking for ING Australia with end-to-end reporting accountability for orchestrating the delivery of complex change under ING Australia's largest transformation program. As such, you will work closely with a wide range of local and global stakeholders, help accelerate strategic outcomes whist ensuring execution certainty and adherence to transformation methodologies and framework.

Key responsibilities include:

- **Program Governance & methodology**: establishment and adherence to best practice project governance structure, including facilitation of steering committee paper preparations and attendance for minute taking, supporting the Program Director and Release Management team with respect to facilitating various decision making forums and ensuring milestone alignment with overall strategic objectives.
Ensure that any governance and methodology expectations as required by the ING Transformation office as well as the Strategic Delivery PMO functions are adhered to and that there is strong and regular collaboration in place between these parties and the program.
- **Planning, Control & Financial Management**: In conjunction with the program Release Management Team ensure the development and maintenance of integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Monitor and track progress against key milestones, while ensuring that risk mitigants and issue treatment plans are timely and effective. Ensure that the program is maintaining its Global and Local SNOW reporting standards in relation to Milestones and Monthly reporting updates. Provide support to the Program/Project Accountant in relation to forecasting and resource management.
- **Resource Management**: Co-ordinate with functional leads and key operational stakeholders to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources across the program. Anticipate resource requirements and assist leads to proactively address any gaps or constraints.
Provide support to the Project Accountant to ensure that monthly resource forecast reviews are conducted and that weekly Time Sheeting for relevant resources is enabled, and run compliance reporting to ensure missed, incomplete or incorrect time sheets are addressed on a timely basis.
- **Vendor & Contract Management**: Provide an end-to-end view of contracts under program management and repeat procurement requirements under the program. Ensure governance processes are in place for monitoring and adherence to contractual obligations. Manage the resource onboarding pipeline for vendor, contract and permanent resources.
- **Stakeholder Management**: including reporting and communication requirements. Prepare and distribute regular status reports, board papers and executive summaries to relevant stakeholders across both the global and global ING landscape. Facilitate effective communication channels in a complex matrix environment and keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- **Quality Assurance**: Establish and ensure quality checkpoints and metrics are in line with or exceed expectations in order to deliver the required customer outcomes. If required, conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas within the program for improvement.
- **Risk & Issue Management**: Provide support to the program Release Management and Risk functions to ensure the program proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks and issues. This includes ensuring the program develops and maintains the risks and issue register and facilitates their timely resolution and escalation as needed.
- **Systems & Tools**: Plan and manage the evolving project portfolio management (PPM) system toolset in conjunction with local and global support teams e.g. Microsoft Azure DevOps (OnePipeline), SNOW, Confluence (Wiki), Teams/SharePoint. Ensure that the program team is supported to adopt and onboard to tools as they are released/upgraded/migrated.
- **Continuous improvements**: Provide insights that translate to actions to foster innovation and continuous improvement with the teams. From time to time take the lead on initiatives that drive an innovation mindset and help increases the capabilities within the delivery teams.
