To help deliver on our vision, we are now looking for an Officiating Development Coordinator (WA) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will be for a 12-month maximum term contract.

About the role

The Officiating Development Coordinator will play a key role in delivering the national Officiating Gameplan with a focus on supporting the recruitment, retention and development of tennis officials in States and Territories across Australia.

In this role you will:

- Support the development and delivery of any Officiating recruitment plans and activities
- Facilitate new officials’ onboarding process and provide the necessary ongoing support and information
- Provide mentoring, coaching & various other ongoing support for officials to perform their roles
- Coordinate logistics for development programs, including engagement of suitable educators, trainers, coaches, court hire, hitters, printing materials and payment processing
- In close partnership with the WA Competitive Play teams, plan and organise Officiating community engagement activities such as monthly / quarterly forums, social events, awards, and recognition
- Develop relationships with Officials, Educators, Coaches & Event Directors and facilitate regular feedback to the TA Officiating Department

About you

What you will bring to the role:

- Tennis Australia Accredited Official (Minimum of either Referee, Chair Umpire, Line Umpire or Court Supervisor accreditation) - Essential
- Thorough knowledge and experience of officiating at TA Competitive Play events and leagues
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor officials
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Tennis Officiating Pathway
- Alignment with the Tennis values of Excellence, Humility, Collaboration and Imagination
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
