The _**Group Technical Manager**_ is a key member of the Management Team and reports directly to the National GM Operations. The Group Technical Manager will partner effectively across all business levels and functions and support the execution of business solutions aligned with strategic direction and organisational goals. And will oversee site QA and QA Managers and their teams and be a very hands-on operator supporting all site operations across the Group. Working with the Operations, Product Development, QA and supply chain teams to ensure new products and continuous improvement activities comply with customer, regulatory, food safety and quality standards. The role will also support the national compliance programs that include compliance and regulatory systems such as document control, approved supplier, and customer systems, focussing on the integrity, reliability, and accuracy of the Real Dairy Australia quality systems.

**Primary responsibility**
- Risk Assess Raw material product information forms for compliance with regulatory and customer standards as well as ensuring new raw materials and products introduced to the production facility set the team up for success.
- Deliver Regulatory advice to support the business with a focus on upcoming technologies and preservatives allowing the business to unlock market share nationally.
- Work with NPD, QA & operations to deliver new technologies and preservatives whilst ensuring regulatory standards and food law requirements within Australia are adhered to. Ensuring due diligence is completed in advance of launching new technologies / preservatives. Securing the Real Dairy Australia brands reputation within the industry.
- Develop and implement the Technical strategic direction of the Group
- Perform Regulatory duties including implementation of products, preparation, review, and approval of technical documentation for compliance.
- Support development, implementation and maintenance of new products and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with QMS administration.
- Artwork and product labelling checks and approvals ensuring any claims are substantiated, validated and appropriate.
- Identify emerging food safety and regulatory issues and assess impact to the business.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Qualifications in food science or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in technical roles within food manufacturing (essential) with Cheese/dairy experience highly desirable
- Previous management experience in a similar role is essential

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- technical manager: 3 years (preferred)
