**About the Company**

Our client is a premium Australian commercial law firm with offices in Melbourne and Sydney. They provide strategic legal and commercial advice to a diverse range of Australian and international corporations, high-net worth individuals and large family businesses and they are on the lookout for a Finance Graduate to join the team. You will work across the operational functions within the Finance team in order to build a broad knowledge of the firm’s financial activities, systems and processes.

**Responsibilities**

This position will have you supporting the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Senior Credit Controller.
- Processing of supplier invoices through the firm’s accounts payable systems.
- Administration of the processing of corporate card transactions and employee reimbursement claims.
- Preparing payment batches in the firms’ banking systems.
- Setting of new suppliers in the firms’ systems.
- Reconciliation of general ledger control account balances.
- Reconciliation of creditor balances to supplier statements.
- Processing of payments received from clients in the practice management system.
- Assisting the Senior Credit Controller in following up receivables from clients.
- Preparing reports to partners outlining outstanding receivables on their matters.
- Preparing monthly statements for distribution to clients.
- Participating in Finance initiatives and ad hoc projects as directed by the Finance Manager or the Chief Financial Officer.
