Toll Aviation, part of the Toll Group operates on a global scale. Currently we are looking for an experienced person to join the team and play an integral role in our specialist aviation business as a Tooling coordinator. Permanent role, based in Sydney (Bankstown). On the job training will be provided.

Job Description

With the growth of Toll Aviation and our increasing reliance on an efficient supply chain, we are looking for a skilled (ideally Aviation) Tooling coordinator to work with our supply chain team and maintenance team. This ensuring the right Tooling is in the right place at the right time.

The Aviation Tooling coordinator will oversee the development and purchase of tooling and ground support equipment (GSE), the maintenance including calibration of current tooling, the location of tooling and it’s movements and therefore aircraft availability, the engineering team and crew safety that relies on this equipment.

In addition, the role requires a self stater self-motivator to effectively drive continuous improvement, standardisation and the management of risk. The role is to some extent hands on and to some extent office based.

The position reports directly to the Toll Aviation Maintenance Organisation to ensure that our operations align with Toll’s organizational goals and aviation requirements.

Job Responsibilities
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all Tooling and GSE is approved, calibrated accounted for, serviceable and in the right location.
- Process and Improvement: Optimize the efficiency, effectiveness and safety of tooling and GSE for the Toll maintenance organisation. Also, management of risk and process of use and through life support.
- Supply Chain: Oversee (with supply chain team) all aspects of the procurement and development for Toll Aviation’s Tooling and GSE. Including through life support.
- Coordination: Collaborate with various departments, including the supply chain team and maintenance team to ensure seamless tooling and GSE operation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Proven experience in or as Aircraft Maintenance engineer and or Fitting and Turning, and or tool making. (Tertiary Qualifications)
- Proven experience in Microsoft, and Supply Chain Management software and CAD modeling software.
- Proficient background in compliance, process improvement, risk management and WHS requirements.
- Proficient problem-solving skills.
