Under a new unified national organisation, the Events team (placed within the Mission Support Department) assists in the delivery of holistic integrated mission in local communities across Australia. The Events team is geographically dispersed to serve internal clients and support events across Australia, ranging from small seminars, trainings, conferences, webinars to week-long Christian camps.

THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active and values-driven Events Coordinator to be responsible for end-to-end assistance and coordination of the life cycle of multiple in-person and online divisional and national events.

The role will involve working alongside the National Events Manager and internal clients (Event Directors) to support diverse events from the initial brief to final execution.

Reporting to the National Events Manager, this position is located at DHQ, Spring Hill, Qld.

HOURS

This is a permanent full-time position, 38 hours per week.

This role will be required to attend and support at events when needed which can involve working extended hours, weekends and public holidays.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience coordinating events
- Tertiary qualifications in Event Management or equivalent experience
- Experience in Youth and Children’s Ministry and events (desirable)
- Demonstrated knowledge of event operations, logistics, venue management, catering.
- Capacity to travel and work a flexible schedule when needed to attend events after hours, weekends and holidays.
- Advanced prioritisation, time management and organisation skills to high demand situations
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to meet competing deadlines
- Excellent computer skills and experience in using technology
- Current Blue Card
- A current QLD Drivers Licence
- Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
