**Job Title**: Administrative Support Officer

**Location**: Benjamin Way & Emu Bank, Belconnen

**Onsite Requirements**: The role is required to be onsite - there might be scope for mínimal hours worked from home.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential administrative support to the Assistant Director, Panel Services, and Panel Advocates. You will involve in various tasks related to legal matters, including research, document preparation, and meeting organization.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting in the preparation of legal documents for matters in the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT) and the Magistrates Court.
- This may also involve limited representation of the Commissioner for Housing in ACAT matters within agreed parameters.
- Maintaining and organizing relevant statistical information, preparing reports on unit statistics as required, updating computer records and databases.
- Assisting with research on compensation claims, appeals, and processing Australian Federal Police information requests when necessary.
- Collaborating and communicating with clients, their legal representatives, the Government, Solicitor's Office, the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and other government agencies as needed to advance matters according to instructions.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhering to the ACT Government's Respect, Equity, and Diversity Framework and the Directorate's Work Health and Safety System.
- Ensuring strict confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of the work and handling sensitive issues with care and sensitivity.

**Skills and Experience**:

- We are looking for an individual who is well-organized, has strong attention to detail, and possesses excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role or within a legal environment would be highly advantageous.
