All Flags Signs & Banners are seeking to employ an experienced and suitably qualified General Manager on a full-time basis.

**JOB PURPOSE**

The General Manager has overall responsibility for managing both the revenue and cost elements of the company's income statement (profit and loss). They will oversee the company’s marketing and sales functions as well as the day-to-day operations of the business. The General Manager will also be responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making to attain desirable profit making results for the company.

**DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
- Plan, coordinate and manage all business operation to achieve corporate goals.
- Develop and implement a business plan for profitability.
- Assist in budge preparation and expense management activities
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and recommend improvements.
- Develop strategies to improve overall quality and productivity.
- Generate business, cost and employee reports to management.
- Schedule regular team meetings to discuss business updates, issues and recommendations.
- Respond to employee concerns in a timely manner.
- Provide direction and guidance to employees in their assigned job duties.
- Determine staffing requirements and ensure that positions are filled promptly.
- Manage administrative, logístical, human resources and accounting service to support company operations.
- Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify business opportunities with new and existing customers.

**General**
- From time to time, all members of the staff team may be required to carry out general duties. These include: opening and locking up procedures; ensuring building and grounds are clean and tidy; being on reception.
- Undertake various tasks as required from time to time.

**Required Qualifications or Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications (Minimum Diploma level)
- Previous experience in importing or offshore sourcing (preferable)
- Proven generalist experience including the ability to work at both strategic and operational levels
- Experience in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures
- Experience at recruitment interviewing and assessment at a senior level
- Ability to prepare and present reports to director level
- Planning and organisation skills to meet deadlines
- Ability and demonstrated skills and experience of development, implementation and maintenance of relevant and effective policies, procedures and systems delivery
- Perform tasks governed by established policies, procedures, specific guidelines and standard instructions
- Negotiation and issue resolution skills ability with a range of people (employees, people we support, customers and industry and community representatives)
- Computer skills to undertake the role
- Investigative and enquiry skills
- Ability to critically assess the need, efficiency and effectiveness of current and systems
- Lead, motivate and encourage employees through a collaborative approach

**Required licenses**

Current Drivers License is preferred, although not essential.

Work is primarily sedentary in nature; no special demands are required.
